"The Power to Love"

Rev. Doretta Colburn

Armchair Service

“Now there is a final reason I think that Jesus says,

‘Love your enemies.’ It is this: that love has within it a redemptive power.

And there is a power there that eventually transforms individuals.” Martin Luther King, Jr.

"Paying Attention to the Blessings"

Rev. Doretta Colburn

Armchair Service

“Something of greater import, I think,

is to say I’m blessed in infinitely many ways.

But sometimes I just don’t see it.”

As a special musical selection this week, Dr. Wendy Weiger - who some of you remember from her November Climate Conversation in Waterford - sings "I Wonder As I Wander," recorded especially for us at her cabin deep in the Northwoods where she is spending the winter.

The night sky photos of the Big Dipper and Milky Way above her cabin were taken last month by Bangor-based photographer Eddie O'Leary (used here by special permission,) and the dawn sky over First Roach Pond photo was taken by Wendy last year.

Enjoy this music and these images of "Wonder inspiring Wonder."
